Mentorship at Neuromatch Academy

It is a great pleasure to mentor students at Neuromatch Academy. It is a truly global school teaching the computational neuroscience to the world-wide audience of the next generation of neuroscientists. Today I have participated in teaching of 2 groups of students, who are going to learn the new computational neuroscience methods and apply their knowledge to various datasets including neuropixels data from rat visual cortex, fMRI data from the human brain, Calcium imaging data from mouse visual cortex and many other datasets. Given the situation with the COVID pandemic, the participation in the school is truly global. I have a feeling that this is the future of neuroscience which would determine how we share the data and make discoveries to accelerate the progress towards brain research world-wide.
