Epilepsy from neuroscience point of view
I have recently gave an interview about our work on human epilepsy in the Allen Institute. I have discussed the basic mechanisms of epilepsy in the human brain and the computational approach towards new treatments. In particular I talked about large-scale data analysis and model simulations to develop new methods of brain stimulation against epilepsy. These efforts require high-performance computations on supercomputers, which should help to develop the detailed models with high precision and analyse large amounts of data to form the clear conclusions about mechanisms of this disease.
